Double Homicide Suspect Shoots Trooper During Motorcycle Stop

* (Disclaimer: The content in this video is intended for educational and informational purposes only) Saline County, Missouri — On June 17, 2025, Concordia Police attempted to stop a motorcycle, driven by 23-year-old Francis Alcantar-Chavez, a double homicide suspect. Trooper Bennett spotted the motorcycle in a neighboring county, traveling directly toward Trooper Hunter, who was assisting with the search. Trooper Hunter attempted to stop Alcantar-Chavez from getting back on the motorcycle. Alcantar-Chavez grabbed a 9mm pistol and began to shoot. Trooper Hunter returned fire. Alcantar-Chavez, still holding the handgun, attempted to rise and Trooper Hunter fired additional rounds to end the threat. Despite lifesaving efforts Alcantar-Chavez was pronounced deceased. The murder victims were his mother and stepfather; both were Arizona Rangers. One round fired by Alcantar-Chavez struck Trooper Hunter in his upper left chest area and was stopped by his ballistic vest.
