Mike Tyson Vs Donovan Razor Ruddock Fight 1, Brutal Knockout, Heavyweight Boxing Bout

Mike Tyson from the USA fought Donovan Razor Ruddock from Canada for the first time in 1991, in a brutal brawling boxing encounter. From the opening bell both men unloaded huge punches. Tyson was ferocious, hurling himself at Ruddock before unloading barrages of massive punches from all angles. Ruddock countered with his trademark uppercuts, crosses and hooks, catching Tyson on numerous occasions. In round 3 Tyson staggered Ruddock with a crushing left right combination that sent Ruddock to the canvas, though, Ruddock seemed to slip over from the impact of the punch. The fight continued into the middle rounds with Tyson connecting with some great body shots as well as clipping Ruddock on the side of the head. Ruddock backed up and was clearly hurt. As the fight continued Ruddock got in some great shots, hitting Tyson with combinations of stiff uppercuts and left hooks which had Tyson's legs buckling. Mike was at his devastating best and just kept coming at Ruddock by punching punching his way past Ruddock's defence to deliver massive swinging overhand rights and lefts. Towards the middle of the 7th round my went into overdrive unleashing a barrage of punches caught Ruddock on his left and right temple and Jaw sending him staggering backwards across the ring. As Mike continued smashing into Ruddock, and Ruddock not able to return any punches the ref had seen enough and stepped in between the 2 fighters, then waved off Ruddock to bring an end to the fight. Regardless of the outcome, the crowd were treated to an action packed hard hitting brawl with Ruddock showing he could take Tyson's heavy punches and return the favour with his own huge punches. Personally I feel the ref stopped the fight too early and he should have gave Ruddock another round or 2, as Ruddock had hit the canvas 2 times previously in the fight yet, just got up, brushed it off, and kept punching like nothing had even happened.
