Qasem's story: Waiting for medical evacuation at Nasser hospital

More than 18,500 people are registered for medical evacuation from #Gaza. Still, 1,092 patients died while awaiting evacuation between July 2024 and Nov. 28, 2025, according to the Ministry of Health. Hanan, a mother from Rafah, describes her desperate struggle to keep her three sick children alive amid displacement, famine and the total collapse of medical care. After losing one daughter to the same condition, she now fears the same fate for Qasem, who has developed acute malnutrition as the genocide has cut off treatment, medicines, and even the family’s basic medical equipment.
