Now, of all the thoughts on the Sabbath, this one is the most confusing. All Christian denominations acknowledge the presence of sin in the world, and encourage their followers not to sin. But this is where the question asserts itself: what is sin? If as good Christians we go to the Bible for our definition of sin, then in 1 John 3:4 we find it. Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. So, if sin is breaking God’s law, and the law is His Ten Commandment law, then the Sabbath is definitely part of the law, sandwiched as it is between Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain and Honor thy father and mother.
