Whispering Jack musical brings John Farnham's story to stage | The Morning Show

Whispering Jack, a new musical about John Farnham, will premiere in Sydney in November 2024, focusing on the pivotal 1986 period when the singer was struggling financially before his career-defining album. The production stars Ben Hall as manager Glenn Wheatley and Bonnie Anderson as his wife Gaynor Wheatley, who famously mortgaged their house to fund the album. Michael Painter will perform Farnham's iconic songs, with the show already extended beyond its initial Sydney Theatre Company run due to strong ticket demand.
