Here’s what I discovered along the way: ✔️ Weight loss is so much more than just being in a calorie deficit ✔️ Your metabolism is the “control switch” to either storing fat or burning it ✔️ Having a high + fast metabolism allows weight loss to occur ✔️ Having a low + slow metabolism makes weight loss so much harder ✔️ Stress plays a huge role! And it’s not just psychological stress, it can be a result of poor sleep quality and poor diet choices. ✔️ Food quality is way more important than food quantity ✔️ Fat loss isn’t the problem, being under-muscled is ✔️ Trying to burn a ton of calories in your workout is probably the least effective way to burn fat Honestly, there’s so much I’ve learned in my decade-long pursuit of figuring out what works. And to be honest, there’s so much more when it comes to sustained fat loss that I can’t share in just an IG post.
