This is a 2011 model and this light is locked at the top of the hatch above the rear window. #hondapilot #honda #vehiclemaintenance Website: http://4diyers.com Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/4diyers Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/4diyers Twitter: https://twitter.com/4DIYers Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/4diyers/ Tumblr: http://4diyers.tumblr.com Pintrest: https://www.pinterest.com/4diyers/ Tools/Supplies Needed: -small standard screwdriver -phillips screwdriver -168 bulb Procedure: As you can see, one bulb is burnt out, and these must all be functioning to pass a safety check and make the vehicle legal for the road.  Using a small standard screwdriver, remove the two caps covering the screws. There will be a small notch where you can slip in the screwdriver and pop out the cover.  Using a phillips screwdriver, remove the two phillips screws, one on each side.  Use a clean cloth to place around the light so it doesn’t scratch the paint. Pull the light out and face it up to gain access to the backside.  Then remove the two phillips screws holding on the bulb assembly.  Be extremely careful, with age the plastic becomes brittle and you can break off the fitting for the rear washer nozzle. I unfortunately did this and was able to fix it with some superglue. Once the screws have been removed, pull out the bulb assembly. As you can see there are five bulbs here in total.  Grab onto the bulb and pull it out of its location. Here’s the bulb, it requires a 168. As for the washer nozzle fitting, I removed the black plastic retaining clip and then pulled out the broken fitting from the center. Now install the new bulb. Then turn the brake light on to ensure it is working correctly.  Reinstall that lightbulb assembly back in place. Reinstall the Phillips screws and tighten them. I already glued the fitting back into place, reconnected that connection, and the insurance snapped into place. Make sure the area is clean around the light and then install it. Install the two Phillips screws and tighten them. Reinstall those plastic caps, they fit in one orientation. Filing you can retest the light to ensure is working correctly and you are officially done.  Thank you to all those who watch my videos and support my content.
