Ali Milani discusses importance of Andy Burnham's apology on Gaza

Andy Burnham's public apology on behalf of the UK's Labour Party stance on Gaza, was welcomed by British commentators, including Ali Milani, the chair of the Labour Muslim Network. Milani stated in an interview with LBC that "His apology [addresses] that anger and hurt  has been caused within so much of our communities." He added: "It can act, hopefully, as a reset between us and so many of our voters around the country where we need to go next." Burnham, who is set to become the UK's PM following the resignment of Sir Keir Starmer, stated this week that the “unbearable suffering” in Gaza was a “scar on our collective conscience”.
