Description
This is the later version with the EL84 output valve rather than the 1953 early version with the EL41 output valve.
Our initial look involved changing the three HT electrolytic capacitors, 8uF (10uF fitted), 32uF (33uF fitted) & 16uF (15uF fitted). I also changed two of the wax capacitor 0.1uF (100nF). There are three more capacitors to change in the next session. All is actually working other than Long Wave, which will be looked into.
The turntable will go over to Andy at Stockport of Vintage Audio fame. I've not had training on that model, so prefer to leave it to someone who has.
We end up with the product working.
Part 2 will see the other three potentially troublesome capacitors replaced & the radio aligned on the test equipment.
