Greg Murphy is a legend of New Zealand motorsport, as much for his passion as his success. That his ‘Lap of the God’s’ set in 2003 remains one of the most iconic Bathurst moments best sums up the Murph Magic. His Top Ten Shootout time has since been eclipsed (including by himself), but his 2.06.86 lap is still considered the most incredible qualifying moment in the history of the great race. Much of the reason for that endurance is the emotion that when with the lap, and two decades on, even if Murph has slowed down, his passion is as strong as ever…including for his current drive: the Cupra Formentor VZ.
