A Spanish photographer has captured the first video footage of a white Iberian lynx. The white coat is a genetic mutation resulting from a lack of melanin, the pigment that determines fur color. The Iberian lynx is a species of wild cat native to the Iberian Peninsula. At the beginning of the 21st century, it was on the verge of extinction, with only 94 individuals remaining in southern Spain in 2002.
