Tenants say fatal carbon monoxide leak was preventable

Tenants of the Metro 1827 apartment building on Albert Street in Regina are asking questions about what led to the fatal carbon monoxide poisoning of Henry Losco. CBC News requested an interview with the owner of the Albert Street building, Mark Frentz. Frentz’s lawyer said due to multiple ongoing investigations, he is not able to comment or provide additional details at this point. “The loss of a young child is heartbreaking and his heart goes out to the loved ones of Henry Losco,” the lawyer wrote. On Jan. 30, Regina’s fire chief Layne Jackson said that the CO leak resulted from a critical failure in a boiler, and a multi-agency investigation continues. #Canada #Sask #CBCNews
