At SMAU London 2026 we interviewed Giacomo Bertuzzi, Programme Manager, Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Hub and we asked him to explain what is the Enterprise Hub and a tip for startups who want to explore new markets: “The Enterprise Hub is an accelerator part of the Royal Academy of Engineering, and this accelerator is focusing on deep tech. Deep tech is the sector of innovation to help speed technology innovation that improves lives and the planet environment. And this accelerator supports leaders throughout the stage of innovation. So from my degeneration to scale and expanding to new market. So the most important thing is to understand the players, the players in the ecosystem. So understand similar companies that are operating in the ecosystem. Consider partnership, consider the entire life span of an innovation. So consider not just about like how to get investment, but how to get partnerships, how to get customers. This is the first step to gain trust in a country that is not yours. Yes. I think what is important is also the mindset. So try to have a mindset that is constantly dynamic. See yourself not just as a leader, but as a leader that is developing. So from idea generation to scaling, your mindset should change together with your business”.
