It celebrates human connections, kindness, and growth beyond just patients and donors ------ In this video, I spoke with blood cancer patients and donors, and I was truly shocked by what I learned from their experiences: • Over 70,000 people die from cancer each year in India, a stark reminder of the battles unfolding across our nation. • India's population stands at 1.4 billion, yet only 0.09% are registered as stem cell donors. • India is often called the thalassemia capital of the world, increasing possibilities of blood cancer. This goes beyond just blood cancer—it's about the profound challenges they face daily, from the resilience required to fight the disease time and again, to the families, grasping the depth of their pain and stepping up as a meaningful support system in their journey. Through videos like this one, the goal is clear: to raise awareness about the health issues we face as a nation and inspire us to address and combat them together, building stronger communities in the process.
