Description

Tulip surprise loaf cake 🌷✨ This adorable cake is such a fun baking idea and you can add any shape you want in the center! I used a pound cake box mix for easy prep and it turned out SO cute! -4 boxes Betty Crocker pound cake mixes (Plus prep ingredients) -Pink and green food coloring -Cream cheese frosting -Sprinkles TULIP CUT OUTS Preheat oven to 350F. Prepare 3 pound cake mixes according to package directions, then divide evenly between two bowls. Color one bowl pink and the second bowl green. Pour the batter into two greased and lined 9x13 cookie sheets, then bake for about 25 minutes or until done. Allow the cake to cool, then trim off the crust. Using a tulip flower and leaf cookie cutter, cut tulips out of the pink cake layer and leaves out of the green cake layer. Set aside. ASSEMBLY Preheat the oven to 350F. Prepare the final pound cake mix according to package directions, then add a small amount to the bottom of a lined and greased 5x9 loaf pan. Place the leaf cut outs into the pan running the length of the pan, tightly packed together to form two rows. Place the tulip cut outs directly on top in between the leaf rows. Fill the rest of the pan with the remaining batter, then bake for 50-60 minutes. Check the center with a tooth pick to be sure it is cooked through. Once cool, add cream cheese frosting and sprinkles. #cozyhome #easyrecipes #cozydecor #springdecor #diy cake ideas spring cake spring baking cozy hobbies
