Little backstory here, I went inside after the round and asked what the course record was. They told me they thought it was 64 but would check with the Head Pro but he wasn’t in at that time. So a few days later I went inside after and chatted with the head pro. He said it didn’t count because I was playing by myself and he said I’m not calling you a cheater (which I thought was a bit of a wild thing to say) but you need someone to attest. I understand this but I feel like saying you shot a course record is like saying you got a hole-in-one not really something any true golfer would lie about. Should it count? Or try again?
