Villa Celimontana in 2026

The Clivo of Villa Celimontana just reopened after being closed for decades. The restoration rebuilt the 17th century terraced path, uncovered an underground nymphaeum, and replanted the citrus garden with 40 trees. The Tempietto and historic fountains are still being restored and should be done by the end of 2026. It's a short walk from the Colosseum and one of the quietest green spaces near the center.
