Description

Hindi and Punjabi subtitles are available ❤️ In this video of Living the Jo Life, we bring you up close to the Wagah Border, located between Amritsar in India and Lahore in Pakistan. The Attari-Wagah Border Ceremony is a symbol and display of national pride and friendship between India and Pakistan. We arrived in the afternoon and was greeted by very loud Indian pop music roaring through the stadium, which can cater for up to 25,000 spectators. It was certainly an electrifying atmosphere at the stadium, which is literally located right on the border of India and Pakistan. Before the military ceremony, they turned the middle section between the podiums into a street-type dance party. Kylie and Ella had a fun time dancing away amongst the crowds. The daily military ritual that symbolizes the closing of the border between the two nations, is an elaborate and very unusual ceremony that takes place just before sunset, showcasing the coordinated and highly choreographed maneuvers by the border security forces of both countries. There are certainly some very high leg kicks. The lowering of the national flags creates an atmosphere charged with passion and enthusiasm. It's a visual spectacle like no other, where patriotism takes center stage, and the shared history and culture of India and Pakistan are celebrated. It’s a friendly yet competitive exchange between the Indian and Pakistani soldiers on each sides of the border. It was certainly a fun and highly unique experience that we will not forget.
