Description

The safest way to bring down a hung up tree is to use a winch or lever to move the butt backwards. But sometimes you want a quicker/easier option. While cutting blocks off the base of the felled tree creates the risk that it ends up upright and falls back on you, if you cut off small blocks relative to the angle it is leaning it, you can mitigate this risk, and in between cutting use a lever or a turning strap to move the tree nearer to horizontal, as I do in this video. The #chainsaw used is a #husqvarna 540iXP #batterychainsaw, I'm also using a turning strap and lifting tongs. Shot with a #gopro #hero13
