The allegation is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Election Commission were misrepresented in an AI-generated video. Someone once said that criticism is the soul of democracy… but maybe not anymore. A few days ago, a letter from the Election Commission was found with a BJP stamp on it, which people widely shared on social media. Now, in that same context, this video was created—where Gyanesh Kumar is shown in the PMO office allegedly stealing votes for PM Modi. The Election Commission itself took cognizance of this video. After that, the Kerala Police took major action and filed a complaint against the social media platform X and a user. Kerala Police stated that during the investigation, it was found that the AI-generated video had the potential to mislead the public, weaken the credibility of constitutional bodies, and impact the conduct of free and fair elections. But now the question is—during the Delhi elections, why did the same Election Commission not stop the BJP from campaigning even a day after the official campaign period had ended Wasn’t that against the rules ?
