Description
The Toronto Raptors season is over, and it’s not as simple as just reacting to Game 7. Coming into the year, this was a team expected to win around 40 games. Instead, they won 46, earned the 5th seed, and pushed a strong Cleveland Cavaliers team to seven games in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. That matters, and it’s a big part of how this season should be remembered.
At the same time, Game 7 was a tough way for it all to end. The Raptors couldn’t get stops, couldn’t rebound, and completely lost control in the second half. After everything they showed throughout the series, it felt like a real missed opportunity, especially with how close they were to something bigger.
That’s really what this comes down to. This was a great Raptors season — a fun team, real progress, and meaningful basketball again in Toronto after a couple of down years. But it also ended in a way that leaves you thinking about what could’ve been. Both of those things can be true.
What did you think of the Raptors season overall?
