Description
The call of the Green Catbird sounds like a mix between a deranged cat and a baby crying. Green Catbirds (Ailuroedus crassirostris) are found in subtropical rainforests in south-eastern Australia and sound even more cat-like than their close relative, the Spotted Catbird which is found further north in the tropics (see recent video of that species I posted to compare). Green Catbirds also make other calls including sharp high-pitched 'tik' sounds and a softer drawn out rasping call.
The Green Catbird (Ailuroedus crassirostris) calls in this video were recorded in Bunya Mountains National Park, Queensland, Australia. More examples of wildlife sounds and bird calls can be found on my website https://wildambience.com/wildlife-sounds/
