Description
UNICEF-supported mobile teams are delivering primary health care services to hard-to-reach communities and displaced populations in Sudan, where more than two years of conflict have left 30 million people — half of them children — in need of humanitarian aid.
"We go out twice a month, and we target 400 to 450 — or even 600 — cases during field visits," says Khaleefa, a general medical assistant. "I hope that the mobile clinics will continue because we are in urgent need of them." The teams offer services including vaccinations, antenatal care, outpatient care and midwifery, among others.
