Description
Today we’re putting the FMS 1700mm F4U Corsair in the air for one of the most immersive FPV warbird flights I’ve ever had. This is the big one from FMS.. flown exactly as recommended on 6S with the stock motor, and honestly it surprised me with how solid and smooth it felt in the air. The Corsair already flies great LOS, but from the cockpit it becomes a completely different experience.
In the future I’ll be upgrading to a higher KV setup to get a little more top-end speed out of it, but even stock this airplane is a blast to fly and an unreal FPV platform. The view over that massive gull wing just makes it feel like you’re in the real thing.
Huge shoutout to Tom Hunt for building the custom scale bombs for this flight. They actually dropped mid-flight without us noticing (you’ll see it in the video), but he’s already fixing everything so we can do a proper run with them soon. That’s going to make for some really fun follow-ups.
If you enjoy RC warbirds, giant scale planes, or FPV that actually feels real, this one won’t disappoint.
More FPV flights and upgrades coming soon.
