Miraculously, AumSum could now control fire. Excited, he lifted a small flame from the fire pit and shaped it into a glowing ball that hovered above his palm. He split the flame into two tiny flickers and made them dance in gentle circles. He even made the fire shrink into a tiny flame that sat quietly on his fingertip, then gently blew it back to normal size. As AumSum continued walking, he reached the town square where preparations were underway for a small evening celebration. Suddenly, a strong gust of wind rushed through the square. One candle tipped over and rolled across a wooden table. The flame touched a cloth covering, and a small fire began spreading across the fabric. People nearby stepped back in fear. The fire moved quickly across the dry cloth, creeping closer to stacked wooden boxes. AumSum noticed the danger immediately and ran toward the table.
