Swiss driver Sébastien Buemi says that Max Verstappen would enjoy the “performance of acceleration” in next season’s Formula E car, the Gen 4. The new car, with 600 kilowatts of peak power, will have 30 per cent more acceleration than an F1 car, for 0-100 kilometres per hour in 1.8 seconds, and a top speed of 335 kilometres. But, while the all-electric series has apparently already been approached by F1 drivers for a Gen 4 test, Buemi says that Formula E should ask the four-time World Champion. Ex-F1 driver David Coulthard drove the new Gen 4 car in Monaco in May, and was astonished by the pace.
