Lexus NX 450h+ F Sport Long-Term Review

The latest addition to the Chasing Cars long term garage is the 2026 Lexus NX 450h+ F Sport, the flagship of the Japanese brand’s popular midsize SUV lineup. The plug-in hybrid packs 227kW of combined petrol and electric power, with around 87 kilometres of claimed pure EV driving and a scant 1.3L/100km of claimed fuel consumption. The high-spec F Sport version of the 450h+ PHEV clocks in at $96,000 before options and on-roads. Chasing Cars deputy editor Curt Dupriez will be running the plug-in family hauler for six months with a target of 10,000 kilometres of mileage. We’ll check our comfort, efficiency and performance, as well as judging what it’s like as an urban daily driver and an open road grand tourer. And we’ll decide whether all the NX you can eat is worth its $107K price on-road or if you’re better off looking elsewhere in the Lexus range or further afield for a smarter alternative.
