Back in one of my favorite spots in the world—Pattaya, Thailand—to revisit a tradition that never gets old. This is a local barbershop that does haircuts & shaves, but also a classic Thai deep ear cleaning. There’s something uniquely relaxing about the atmosphere of these local barber shops, and I was lucky enough to be in the expert hands of Sai, a skilled female barber who knows exactly how to navigate the delicate art of ear picking & ear cleaning. At the incredible local price of just $3 (about 100 Thai Baht), it’s a masterclass in precision and care that you just can't find back home. ​I’m not taking this journey into sensory bliss alone, though! I’m joined by my close friend and fellow YouTuber, Joey Amor. You might remember Joey from our video exactly one year ago when he braved the tools for his own ear-cleaning adventure. It’s great to have him back in the chair next to me. I wonder if his ears are any cleaner after twelve months of traveling? Thai hospitality that makes filming in this country such a joy. ​Sai uses a variety of traditional tools, from tiny scoops to delicate cotton-tipped probes, to meticulously clear out every bit of debris. It’s a rhythmic, almost meditative process that leaves you feeling like you can hear in high definition.
