We’re finally home after a full week of travel, and ranch life doesn’t pause. Cody and Clancy do a full run-through of the place, get feedings handled, get the goats put up, and then head to the new Big Mini Feedlot to start setting up panels and laying out pens.
This is not the final permanent setup yet. We’re getting panels placed so we can visualize spacing, gates, bunk layout, and where water troughs might go before we start driving posts and locking anything in. Cody also talks through ideas for testing different water troughs to factory specs and seeing how each performs through summer and into winter.
We also answer a question we get a lot about what we top our feed with (Beef Trait), and why it helps cattle utilize whole corn better. You’ll also see some real “family ranch” moments, directions getting misunderstood, and the kind of teamwork it takes to build out a working cattle setup as first-generation ranchers in Central Texas.
If you enjoy ranch life, cattle feeding, and building a feedlot step by step, you’re in the right place.
Thanks for being here and supporting what we’re building.
