FIFA's Afghanistan Women's Football Team Stranded without Visas to UAE Tournament

The FIFA selected Afghanistan Women's Football Team's Australian-based players have been left stranded in Australia without the necessary visas to travel to the UAE for a tournament against the local women's team plus Libya and Eritrea. The Afghan athletes were due to fly out on Sunday but were rejected, they had hoped visas may have come through overnight so they could travel on Monday, but still there was no news. Alternatives are being investigated including moving the four-nation women's tournament to Qatar.
