Israel cuts hours at Allenby Crossing, leaving Palestinians stranded

The Allenby Crossing is the only way in and out of the West Bank for millions of Palestinians. It once operated 24/7. Today in 2026, it is open just 8am to 1:30pm, closes even earlier on Fridays, and shuts completely on Saturdays. In 2025 alone, 1.5 million travelers passed through it. That is not enough. The digital booking platform meant to fix the chaos is fully booked for the next two weeks.
