Snow Days Part 2 | Ice, Frozen Diesel & Ranch Lessons Learned

Day two (and three) of our Texas snow days brought colder temps, stronger wind, more ice, and a whole new set of challenges. In this video, we’re dealing with frozen water troughs, slick ice, gelled diesel, wind chills that hit harder than expected, and figuring things out on the fly. From anti-gel lessons and heating fuel filters, to checking water every day, to what worked and what didn’t, this is real ranch life when the weather does something you’re not built for. We also show simple, low-cost solutions like using candles in water troughs when electricity isn’t available, why freeze misers still work even when ice forms, and what we’ll do differently next time. These aren’t snow days where you sit inside and relax. When livestock is involved, you’re in and out all day making sure everything keeps running.
