Description

Melvin Hodge, a cancer survivor and Race for the Place team member, tells 3News' Danielle Wiggins about how The Gathering Place helped him during his cancer journey. RELATED: Every year, Alice Santurri adds another piece to a one-of-a-kind skirt. Made from Race for the Place and cancer-awareness t-shirts collected over the years, the colorful creation has become a wearable timeline of friendship, community, milestones and memories. I'm a wife, a mother, a godmother, an aunt. I love to hike and bike and craft, and I have metastatic breast cancer," Santurri said. "It's the last on my list because it's the least important.
