Description
The fifth-gen Honda City has gotten a second facelift! And this time the updates are far more comprehensive than before. Honda has given it a completely redesigned front end with sleeker LED headlights, split DRLs, a sharper bumper and a much sportier overall look inspired by its newer global design language. The idea? To make the City feel more appealing to younger buyers.
Inside, it now gets ventilated front seats, a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen with a new UI and a 360-degree camera, while features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, ambient lighting, sunroof and Level 2 ADAS continue.
Mechanically, things remain unchanged with the smooth 1.5-litre petrol engine and the efficient e:HEV hybrid powertrain. Prices have gone up slightly on the standard car, but ₹1 lakh on the e:HEV, so is it still worth the premium now? And should Honda finally offer a turbo-petrol City for enthusiasts?
We drive the new Honda City facelift to find out if it is now the most well-rounded sedan in the segment.
