Description

It’s because of him, it’s because of Satoru Gojo! At that moment I understood the reason why! The curses’ increasing strength… or when figure skaters have to add more spins to their jumps due to a single athletes prowess!! It’s like when a seemingly unbeatable track and field record gets broken!… The Balance of The World was altered! When Satoru Gojo was born! “The Honored One”, “The Strongest Sorcerer of Today”, “The Six Eyes”, Satoru Gojo is a character most recognize as one who stands as one of the best depictions of “The Strongest” in fiction. He’s all powerful, extremely nuanced, one who’s guided by fate, attractive, and is good at every single thing he does; but what if I were to tell you that these qualities anybody would wish for have harmed Gojo more than helped him; and in a sense, are the primary catalysts for the tragedy that is his story in Jujutsu Kaisen and even in a meta-context; as his character seems to be bit misrepresented. In this video; I intend to communicate my thoughts on Gojo’s role as the strongest in Jujutsu Kaisen particularly the ironic aspect of it, while helping those who have or haven’t seen the series understand the character and why I have said thoughts on him; if you enjoy content such as this, don’t forget to leave a like & subscribe to communicate to me that you guys are interested, and let’s get into the video. In the context of Jujutsu Kaisen; there’s two characters that the story constantly reveres and praises as the quote on quote, “Strongest Sorcerer” one being Ryomen Sukuna; conqueror of the Heian Era and King of Curses & the other one; the subject of this video, The Honored One; Satoru Gojo. Satoru Gojo appears quite early into the series as Yuji’s soon to be mentor, although the very first scene he appears in shows him to be a questionable character; having our protagonist tied up as he’s apparently interrogating him, we get context for this moment right after as it’s shown that Gojo had only been doing this to Yuji in order to give him another chance at life with giving him the mission to collect all of Sukuna’s fingers and to sacrifice his life right after in order to eliminate the king of curses for good, rather than just dying here and now due to being a potential special grade threat. Funnily enough; Gojo would hide the final Sukuna finger so Yuji could never even complete this goal in the first place, and live out his entire life. That entire plot point there is basically how Gojo goes about most things he cannot solve with overwhelming strength in the series; everything about him is more nuanced than it seems, no matter how simple he puts it & he always has deeper motive than what he puts out, which makes him so much more interesting to get into.
