Description

Reviewing Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7 again nine months later, now it's part of Sammy's refurb program but has strong rivals in the OPPO Find N6 and Honor Magic V6. Here's what I think of the Samsung Z Fold 7's battery life, camera tech and other bits in 2026, and check out my reviews of those other foldables! I've never been a massive fan of these Galaxy foldable phones, until now. That design is a huge improvement on the bricks of yesteryear, matching the slim, loveable finish of the OPPO Find N6 and Honor Magic V6. Gaming on the likes of Wuthering Waves is still a smooth and satisfying experience, while that large internal display is a great way to enjoy comics or multi-task on the move. However, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 lags behind 2026 rivals in a couple of ways. I prefer the OPPO Find N6's Open Canvas method of multi-tasking, while the Samsung Z Fold 7 certainly struggles to serve up a full day of battery life. Especially if you're on the move. That capacity hasn't increased at all, so I was scraping the dregs on a number of days before heading to bed. That's where the Honor Magic V6 and OPPO Find N6 win. Likewise, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 charges slowly, while OneUI 8 isn't quite as lovable as ColorOS. And while the camera tech is pretty good, that heavy processing does impact snaps. Look past these flaws, however, and the Samsung Z Fold 7 is an impressive piece of hardware, at a price. Let us know your thoughts on this mighty folding phone below!
