Weather Update : 17 राज्यों में आंधी-बारिश का अलर्ट, महाराष्ट्र में Monsoon की एंट्री, IMD Alert Amidst the scorching heat gripping several states across the country, the Meteorological Department has issued a fresh alert. According to the forecast, 17 states—including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu—may experience moderate to heavy rainfall within the next 12 hours, specifically on Sunday, June 7. Strong winds blowing at speeds of 80 to 90 kmph are also likely during this period. Additionally, an alert regarding deteriorating weather conditions has been issued for hilly states; some areas may witness torrential rain, while warnings of heavy to very heavy rainfall have been issued for the northeastern states. According to the Meteorological Department, the Southwest Monsoon has advanced rapidly, covering parts of Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and several regions of Northeast India. The IMD has issued an alert for heavy rainfall in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and the northeastern states over the next seven days. The department predicts that the monsoon could advance further into Maharashtra, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and other parts of the Northeast within the next two to five days.
