Living In An Abandoned Hospital In South Africa

Why are 1,000 people living in an abandoned hospital in Cape Town, South Africa? The city is in the depths of a housing crisis, with rising rents and gentrification forcing people into homelessness. One group of activists decided to take action, and turned a derelict old building into homes for people being pushed out of their city. Yara Elmjouie goes inside the occupation to meet the residents and activists defying the threat of eviction as they stand against displacement, and work to create affordable housing in the heart of Cape Town.
