Description
Half my hurdle tops were broken. New ones cost $80 each that’s $800 to replace all 10. So instead of paying, I took a trip to Home Depot, grabbed some wood and spray paint, and built all 10 hurdle tops myself for under $50. Same day, my athletes were running over them at the track.
This is the DIY mindset every coach and athlete needs.
Don’t let busted gear stop your training. Fix it. Build it. Make it yours.
In this video:
• Where to find cheap lumber for hurdle tops
• How to size and cut the boards
• Drilling and mounting to existing hurdle frames
• Spray painting in the Lyfestyle Athletics colors
• Putting them straight to work with my athletes at the track
If you’re a coach running a track club on a budget, or an athlete building your own setup at home, this is the move. The frames last forever only the tops break. Save the money, keep training.
