Jungle Fresh: The $1 Under-the-House Barber Experience Chanthaburi, Thailand 🇹🇭 ​I’ve had some incredible haircuts around the world, but this one was truly special. I traveled deep into the Thai countryside, far away from the glitz of Bangkok, to find the most authentic, local experience possible. ​I eventually stumbled upon a small village where I found exactly what I was looking for: a completely open-air barbershop situated right underneath a traditional Thai stilt house. No walls, no air conditioning—just the sound of the birds, the rustle of the trees, and the local community passing by. You may get some ASMR haircut sounds, or ASMR satisfaction, out of this video to relax -- and maybe even fall asleep to. ​This female barber is a master of his craft, using tools that have clearly seen years of dedicated service. For a total cost of only about $1, I received: ​A Precision Haircut: Expertly handled despite the rustic setting. ​A Traditional Face Shave: Using a straight razor and a very steady hand. ​Eyebrow Trimming: Getting those stray hairs back in formation. ​There is something incredibly peaceful about getting groomed while feeling the tropical breeze and looking out at the lush green jungle. It’s a reminder that you don’t need a fancy salon to get five-star treatment. Jason receives a complete grooming session from the local barber, Pin, who has eight years of experience. I like to onnect with locals in their own environment and supporting small village businesses.
