UDF പിന്തുണയോടെ CPIM വിമതരുടെ കൂട്ടായ്മ രൂപീകരിക്കുന്ന പാർട്ടിയുടെ സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥിയായി ആണ് മത്സരിക്കുന്നത്. തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ സഹായം തേടി ഒറ്റപ്പാലം മണ്ഡലത്തിലെ UDF നേതാക്കളെ സമീപിച്ചു. UDF നേതാക്കളുമായി നടത്തിയ ചർച്ചയ്ക്ക് പിന്നാലെയാണ് തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ സഹായം തേടി ശശി കോൺഗ്രസ് - മുസ്ലീം ലീഗ് നേതാക്കളെ സമീപിച്ചത്. P. K.
