Description
The EV Mandate Is Breaking The Car Market — And SMMT Knows It!
The SMMT has just admitted what many of us have been saying for years: the EV mandate is pushing more and more electric cars into the market, but the charging network is not keeping up.
In this video, I look at SMMT’s own report and pull out the key points they can no longer ignore. The big one is the charger ratio. Yes, more public chargers are being installed, but the number of plug-in vehicles is rising even faster. According to SMMT, the ratio has worsened from 1 charger for every 20 plug-in vehicles to 1 charger for every 24.
That means the pressure on public charging is getting worse, not better.
I also cover:
why SMMT says the current mandate assumptions no longer match reality
the claim that manufacturers have absorbed more than £10 billion in EV discounting
why targets alone do not cut emissions
why real consumer demand is still not where politicians want it to be
how infrastructure outside London is still lagging badly
and why this whole policy needs an urgent rethink
This is one of the clearest signs yet that the market is being forced in a direction the public is not naturally following.

I’ve been using the Hilo blood pressure monitor for years — and it has genuinely helped me control and lower my blood pressure.
High blood pressure is often called "The Silent Killer" because many people have no idea they have it until serious damage has already been done.
In this video, I share my personal story of discovering that my blood pressure was high, the unusual symptoms I experienced, and how making changes to my lifestyle helped me regain control.
I also explain why I started using the Hilo blood pressure monitoring bracelet and how tracking my blood pressure trends over time helped me understand which habits appeared to help and which didn't.
This is not medical advice. It is simply my personal experience and the lessons I learned from monitoring my blood pressure over several years.
In This Video:
✔ Why high blood pressure is called the silent killer
✔ The risks of uncontrolled hypertension
✔ The symptoms I experienced
✔ How I discovered my blood pressure was high
✔ Lifestyle changes that helped me
✔ My experience using the Hilo blood pressure bracelet
✔ Why tracking trends can be more useful than occasional readings
High blood pressure can increase the risk of heart attack, stroke, heart failure, kidney disease, vision problems and dementia. Understanding your numbers and monitoring changes over time may help you have more informed conversations with your healthcare professional.
