Escalator Load Testing

Wrong answers only … But seriously, who knew this was how you load test an escalator? The City Rail link will be home to New Zealand’s longest one at 43m, when it opens later this year. It’s long, because Karanga-a-Hape station is deep! To make sure it works with LOADS of people on it, we packed over a 100 people on – and yes made them stand really close together. Like, awkwardly close. You might not see it, but our testing and commissioning work is humming along underground.
