Shift Change: Episode 4

The goal was clear: start the season fast. Instead, the Lancers stumbled out of the gate, managing just one win in their first six games. The problem wasn’t just the scoreboard. Lloydminster was playing scared. Waiting for something bad to happen. Almost searching for ways to lose. “That’s a terrible mindset to have,” said Coach King. “We’re trying to change it to believing something good is going to happen. That takes a lot of hard work and doing the little things right.” Early-season struggles aren’t unusual for a young, developing team, especially one dealing with significant roster turnover.
