A Struggling Dog Finds Rescue and a New Beginning After Harsh Street Life

Timber was found barely surviving on the streets of Cleveland, Texas — malnourished, exhausted, and suffering from severe skin conditions after months of neglect. While searching for food among a pack of starving dogs, he was attacked and unable to defend himself. His condition showed a life spent surviving, not living. At the clinic, veterinarians confirmed Timber was critically underweight and in urgent need of care. For the first time in a long while, he was able to rest safely and begin healing. Now in a foster home, Timber is slowly gaining strength and learning that warmth, kindness, and safety are possible. This rescue story reflects the ongoing dog abandonment crisis and honors the volunteers, fosters, and medical teams who stepped in to give Timber a second chance.
