सोनौली बॉर्डर पर अमेरिकी नागरिक हिरासत में: नेपाल में गैर-कानूनी तरीके से घुसने की कोशिश; गोवा में रह रहा था सशस्त्र सीमा बल (SSB) ने सोनौली बॉर्डर पर एक अमेरिकी नागरिक को हिरासत में लिया है, जो गैर-कानूनी तरीके से नेपाल में घुसने की कोशिश कर रहा था। हिरासत में लिए गए व्यक्ति की पहचान कैलिफ़ोर्निया, USA के रहने वाले जॉर्डन ब्राउन के तौर पर हुई है। उसके पास कोई वैध यात्रा दस्तावेज़ नहीं मिला। अलग-अलग एजेंसियों की पूछताछ के दौरान, ब्राउन ने बताया कि वह टूरिस्ट वीज़ा पर थाईलैंड गया था, जहाँ उसका पासपोर्ट खो गया। इसके बाद, वह समुद्री रास्ते से श्रीलंका पहुँचा। ब्राउन के मुताबिक, वह 2 नवंबर, 2025 को समुद्री रास्ते से श्रीलंका से भारत आया था और तब से गोवा में रह रहा था। नेपाल में घुसने की कोशिश करते समय SSB ने उसे पकड़ा। उसके दावों की सच्चाई की जाँच की जा रही है। सोनौली के स्टेशन ऑफिसर महेंद्र मिश्रा ने बताया, "उसने जाँचकर्ताओं को बताया कि उसने यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ़ कैलिफ़ोर्निया में पढ़ाई की थी और लगभग दो साल पहले मिलिट्री सर्विस छोड़ने से पहले छह साल तक US नेवी और स्पेशल फोर्सेज़ में काम किया था। उसने यह भी कहा कि उसके माता-पिता दोनों का निधन हो चुका है।" US national detained from India-Nepal border in Uttar Pradesh for travelling without documents The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has detained a US citizen at the Sonauli border while he was attempting to enter Nepal illegally. The detained individual has been identified as Jordan Brown, a resident of California, USA. No valid travel documents were found in his possession. During questioning by various agencies, Brown stated that he had traveled to Thailand on a tourist visa, where he lost his passport. Subsequently, he reached Sri Lanka via a sea route. According to Brown, he arrived in India from Sri Lanka by sea on November 2, 2025, and had been living in Goa since then. He was apprehended by the SSB while attempting to enter Nepal. The veracity of his claims is currently being verified. He told investigators that he had studied at the University of California and had served in the US Navy and Special Forces for six years before leaving military service around two years ago.
