Teenage boy at centre of Scott Mills sexual offences was under 16

► Scott Mills was questioned in 2018 over allegations of serious sexual offices against a teenage boy under 16. The police investigation began in 2016 but was dropped in 2019 after the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) found there was insufficient evidence to bring charges. The allegations were reported to have happened between 1997 and 2000. The host was sacked by the BBC on Monday over allegations related to his personal conduct. The broadcaster has not given any further details. The Met Police said in a statement that it began an investigation in 2016 following a referral from another police force, and that a man in his 40s at the time, was questioned under caution in July 2018. Following the CPS’ decision, the investigation was closed in May 2019.
