Description

When children grow up and prepare to move out for studies or work, every parent has that one nagging worry: how will they manage on their own? Today, I’m starting a new journey with my daughter to make sure she’s ready for that independence. More than a regular cooking class; it’s a survival guide for her next chapter in life. Please support this "Survival Life Skills Series" and do share with your loved ones. We’re starting with the most essential dish in any Indian household—Aloo Sabzi. It’s the ultimate comfort food and the easiest thing to master if you know the basics. We talk about everything from choosing the right kadai to the most important rule for any beginner: managing the salt. I also show her a clever way to turn this simple sabzi into a cheesy crostini, because I know she’ll want to impress her new roommates and friends once she’s away from home. In this video, you'll learn: The basic kitchen kit: why the right kadai and spatula make all the difference. Prepping basics: how to wash and chop potatoes and chilies safely. The "Go Slow"salt technique: how to avoid over-salting your food as a beginner and why it’s always better to add more later. Oil and heat: understanding that oil quantity is personal and how to control the flame. The spatula test: the foolproof way to check if your potatoes are perfectly cooked. The Fusion Hack: converting a simple sabzi into a fancy cheese crostini topping. @KangnaKamdar 👍 Like करें 📢 Share करें 🔔 Channel Subscribe जरूर करें Ingredients: 2 Potatoes 1 Onion 1-2 Green Chillies Few Curry Leaves 1 Dried Red Chilli 1/2 tsp Asafoetida Powder 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder 1/2 Lemon Juice 1 tbsp Roasted Peanut Powder 1 tsp Coriander Powder 1 tsp Mustard Seeds 1 tsp Cumin Seeds Salt as per taste Chopped Coriander Method: Wash 2 Potatoes and peel them Cut them into pieces (lengthwise) Put the cut pieces into water (to avoid turning them black) Cut 1 Onion into thin slices and keep aside Heat Oil in a pan or kadhai Add 1 tsp Mustard Seeds Add 1 tsp Cumin Seeds Once crackled, add 1/2 tsp Asafoetida Powder Add 1 Dried Red Chilli Add few Curry Leaves Add 1-2 chopped Green Chillies Add 1 Onion cut into thin slices Add Salt as per taste Cook Onion until it's slightly soft Add 2 cut Potatoes Add 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder Add 1 tsp Coriander Powder Combine everything well together, cover and cook for 5-7 min on low flame Check by pressing spoon on the potato if it's cooked.
