#A5771106 Say hello to Couture, a 3-year-old German Shepherd with a soft black coat delicately dipped in warm caramel along her tummy, legs, and tail - like the sweetest little treat. This darling girl is feeling overwhelmed in the busy shelter, but she’s doing her very best to be brave. Couture is looking for a patient, experienced adopter who will go slow, give her space, and let trust build naturally at her pace. Once she feels safe and settled, her intelligent, loving personality is sure to shine through. She may be a bit nervous at first with other dogs, but she warms up quickly and enjoys playful companionship - making her a wonderful potential sister to a confident pup you may already have. Gentle, affectionate, and full of quiet potential, Couture is ready to blossom in the right home. Will that be with you?
-3 year old black and brown German Shepherd
-47 pound spayed female
-may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before she can go home with you, but the shelter can likely help with this!
-came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 4/20/26 as a stray
-does not have the best kennel presence, but with a little time and space, she opens up beautifully!
-sweet, affectionate, and comfortable - like a warm, cozy hug in pup form
-super smart cookie, that walks well on leash and is very receptive to training and commands - she already has such a strong “sit” and could easily learn a ton more!

Our Mission:
United Hope for Animals is dedicated to reducing homelessness among companion animals through spay/neuter, shelter support, photography, video and networking of shelter animals in Southern California. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization working to end homelessness among companion animals by supporting shelter adoptions and spay/neuter programs. Through our Shelter Support Program, our volunteers photograph and video shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption significantly. Our volunteer Adoption Coordinators help facilitate adoptions of shelter pets. United Hope for Animals supports rescue, spay/neuter and networking of shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption. UHA is not a shelter, but supports shelters to help increase visibility of animals who might not otherwise be seen.
