The eyes of the world were on Spanish-capital Madrid last week, with the new Madring circuit launched to great fanfare, with fewer than 90 days to go until F1 bumps in for the race event. Despite initial concerns surrounding its construction, the track, which is in the area surrounding the city’s IFEMA conference and convention centre, was delivered in just over a year, with ground broken in May 2025. Madrid’s favourite sons Carlos Sainz, father and son, were present at the launch, with junior - who is on the grid for Williams - getting in a lap of the completed track in a red Mustang, before heading inside for a glamorous launch that showcased Spanish culture.
